It is a pleasure and a privilege to be asked do moderate The Faces of Change panel at SHE summit Spirit Forward with Bacardi on Monday as part of international women’s day with some fantastic thought-leaders including Laura Haynes, chair of the UN Women National Committee, presenter and author of Diversify June Sarpong and Gina Martin responsible for making up-skirting illegal.
S.H.E Summit was founded 7 years ago to awaken higher purpose and renewed energy for leadership gender equality, diversity, advancement and culture change. The SHE Summit is the flagship event of SHE Globl; and the very first London edition, entitled Spirit Forward, is the first such event hosted by Bacardi.
The summit’s theme will be focused on ‘You Don’t Need to be in Charge to Lead’, exploring the belief that the first step in being a change-maker is to acknowledge that you already are one.
The Faces of Change panel will consist of the incredible writer and activist Gina Martin who successfully launched a campaign to make up-skirting illegal. Equally excellent shervene shahbazkhani , changing the face of bartenders and the UK’s first Ambassador for Bacardi_Martini and the wonderful Gabby Edlin founder of Bloody Good Period – campaigning to end period poverty. We will be discussing making a difference, re-defining what it takes to lead and contributing to contemporary change. Never have I been booked for an event that speaks so deeply to my heart personally. If you’re in the area – grab last minute tickets, if you already have yours – smart, I shall see you there with other change makers.
